Point of Interest 22/03/06 New Office of Charity and Third Sector Finance to be established in HM Treasury

The Chancellor announced today that a new Office of Charity and Third Sector Finance is to be established in HM Treasury bringing together all aspects of tax, spending and financial services policy relating to the third sector, including charities, voluntary and community groups, social enterprises, co-operatives and mutuals. Point of Interest 27/06/06 Invest to Save Budget Third Sector Projects Publication was launched at the ISB Conference on the 15 June The document is designed to showcase the diverse contribution the third sector can make to service delivery and demonstrate the nature of the partnerships the ISB has helped to foster. We hope that this publication will prove to be a useful tool in the promotion of cross-sector working by showing what can be done, as well as encouraging the development of further effective partnerships in the future.

Point of Interest 07/08/06 The ninth annual resource allocation round of the Invest to Save - Inclusive Communities Budget (ISB) was launched today, with a focus on forging stronger partnerships between local authorities and the third sector in the development of innovative approaches to service delivery. Please view the press notice for further information. The deadline for submitting bids for Round 9 is 27 October 2006. The full criteria and bidding guidance for ISB Round 9 gives you all the information you need to submit a bid, and includes the bid proforma.
